Recipe for Vitality

Prep time: zero

INGREDIENTS: LOVE

One of the key ingredients to a successful diet is LOVE. For many people, they choose to go on a diet to fix themselves, to “get better” so they can have more love. We have it all backwards. You want to start with love and go from there. If you are interested in really winning you want to look at new ways of thinking, new ways of being and this will lead to new actions. Are you approaching this diet any differently than other diets you have tried?

Preparation Instructions for the Successful Dieter:

1. Identify why you want to lose weight – what is the motivation for you? If you are stuck in fixing yourself then you want to do more work. See Marianne Williamson’s book for a fabulous and simple journey to weight loss.

2. Pick a program/diet that makes sense to you, is not harmful and will nurture your body. Do the program by design, follow the instructions, and complete the program. Most rebound weight gain happens either because you quit before the end, or because you are not trained to maintain your new weight with new habits (stabilization). I recommend the Ideal Protein Program offered at Vital Body.

Cerra Water Pitcher at Vital Body

The health benefits of drinking anti-oxidant, alkaline water are explained in the following article:

In a state of dehydration, body cells cannot assimilate nutrients, remove waste and relieve pain from conditions like arthritis or fibromyalgia. Dehydration  also occurs as a side effect of caffeine, sugar and processed food consumption, exercise and the use of certain medications.

Humans need hydrogen to survive.  It is the key to long life and anti-aging. However, due to mass food production, mineral deficient soil, pesticides, chemical fertilizers, over-processing of foods, chemical preservatives, and drinking over-chlorinated/over-fluoridated water, people tend to not get enough hydrogen ions daily. Body cells become damaged, hydration levels decrease and cells age.

Dramatic breakthroughs in overcoming disease are being published in some of the world’s most prestigious scientific journals as a result of the hydration movement.
At the same time, thousands of scientists and medical doctors around the world like F. Batmanghelidj, MD, are espousing the popular prescription for health, “Don’t over-medicate, HYDRATE!”

Science and medicine have beenseeking and studying miracle healing waters for decades. High elevation regions such as the Hunza in Pakistan, Villacabamba in Ecuador, Badenbaden in Germany, and others have been reputed to have healing waters for many generations.

The fact is, people who live in these regions and drink the water  are known to live long, healthy, active lives well over 100 years of age.  While the diets in these regions differed dramatically, scientists have discovered the amazing fact
that the drinking water in these regions was almost identical and came from frozen glaciers that had melted.  This water, known in some circles as “glacial milk,” displays some very distinct physical differences from the water that most of the civilized world is drinking.

The water is alkalizing to the body.  It is oxygenated and mineralized by bouncing over the rocks and tumbling down the mountainside.  It is also ionized by the sunlight.  The surface tension of glacial milk is much lower. This means that the
water can be absorbed directly into the cells of the body with much greater ease facilitating hydration and nutrient uptake. It also means that waste materials can be removed from the cells more easily by the same life-giving water.

Scientists also discovered that “alkaline, ionized water” has very distinct physical properties that reverse dis-ease and promote vibrant health. After decades of laboratory and field research and study, they uncovered what may be the most important discovery about the true nature of hydration.  Alkaline, ionized water has the ability to detoxify and hydrate the body better than anything else. In fact, it is six times more hydrating because it is microclustered. The water from these regions contains massive quantities of negatively-charged hydrogen ions and is full of micro-bubbles of oxygen.  Negatively-charged ions have proven to be highly beneficial to the human organism.

Now, science has also brought us a bio-ceramic pitcher that replicates what nature does so that the average person can have that glacial stream right in their own home!

An Ideal Protein Moment

November 15th, 2011 § 0 comments § permalink

It’s the end of the day. I stand by my stove. I pull out a small pot, add some water, pull out my small whisk and empty my chocolate drink pouch into the pot. I turn the gas stove to low. I whisk. I pull out my favourite mug, add 1/2 teaspoon of salt. The chocolate drink thickens and just as it’s very warm but not over heating I pour it into my mug. I walk to my brown coach. And enjoy the best drink in the world. A guilt free evening snack that gives my body 18g of protein and only 9g of carbs. Gluten Free. I love it. Thank you Ideal Protein.
